What’s Your Favorite Scent Journey?
Here at Four Truffles, we refer to our scents as – “scent journeys” – a reminder of soulful destinations we’ve been to or dream of traveling to.
When we first launched the line we only had 2 offerings – Neroli Citrus and Earth Apple. Since then we’ve added 3 more – bulgarian lavender, lime basil mandarin and tangerine lavender. While records show that Tangerine Lavender seem to be the clear favorite amongst our customers, we can never seem to come to an agreement in this office.
In the past month, 30 beauty industry panelists reviewed our body butter, body smoother and creamy body wash and we thought for sure we would hear a strong contender but as we started reviewing their comments one at a time (all positive by the way…!), there was still no clear winner other than every single expert except one loved the scent journey they tested.
I personally 
love the lime basil mandarin – it suits my always on the go lifestyle. It makes me feel fresh and energized as that mandarin and peppery basil aroma puts the extra “zing” in my day – it keeps me going and I’m just in love with it.
It’s also interesting to hear how each of us here describe their favorite scent journey. Recently at one of our fundraisers, one of our volunteers sold lots of bulgarian lavender because it was her favorite. When she was asked why bulgarian lavender – she had a simple compelling answer… “It so sexy.” That simple and that convincing.

From the start, my standout favorite scent journey was the Lime/Basil/Mandarin, as well. It’s so citrusy and zingy, it just perks you up whenever you smell it. I love it!!
But since I like to “slather” lotion on at night before I go to bed, I needed something more tranquil. And as much as I love my lime/basil/mandarin, it’s just not the right fragrance for me at nighttime. It’s just too energizing to help me fall asleep.
So what better scent journey to get me into the calm state of slumber than Bulgarian Lavender? I’ve always been a firm believer in the calming properties of lavender, and this body butter is perfect! Just the right amount of lavender without being overly floral. Bulgarian Lavender is my favorite because it helps take me to where I need to be at bedtime: To ZZZZ Town!!!
Recently, I discovered the deliciousness that is Earth Apple. I’m not a big apple fan myself, but this scent journey takes you to a whole new world. It’s not overly apple-y, if that makes any sense. I find it to be a lighter scent journey than the others, but it is definitely scrumtrilescent! What makes Earth Apple my favorite is simply that it smells clean & fresh.
And how can I leave out Tangerine/Lavender? This is my #1 loved scent journey in the creamy body wash – (When those are officially unveiled, I will be first in line, for sure!!) The bright zest of citrus combined with the light floral scent of lavender makes this Tangerine/Lavender hands down my favorite.
Ultimately, the only one-liner I can possibly think of is this: “It’s impossible to pick just ONE favorite!!”
