You may have heard or read about “Ecocert Certified Organic _______” and most definitely if you’ve read about our body care products, you would’ve been exposed to these words.   Have you wondered what exactly does that mean?  Well then read on…

ECOCERT Ⓡ is an internationally recognized organic certification that guarantees the genuine practice of environmental respect throughout the formulation and manufacturing of a product.

The company was founded in 1991 and the philosophy behind the organization is based on strong ethical values that is traceable from the agro-organic associative movement of the 1970’s.

In Europe, ECOCERT Ⓡ is considered to be the most important organization in setting the criteria in natural and organic cosmetics.  We’ve listed below their requirements for an organic product:

* A minimum of 10% of the ingredients must be certified organic
* At least 95% of the ingredients must be of vegetables/plant origin
* While the product may contain a maximum of 5% synthetic ingredients, none of these must be included on the negative list:

ECOCERT Ⓡ negative list includes:
* mineral oil and silicon
* synthetic emulsifiers like PEG (polyethyelene glycol)
* viscosity controlling agents like carbomer
* preservatives such as formaldehyde releasers, parabens or phenoxyethanol
* synthetic perfumes
* synthetic dyes
* synthetic solvents like propylene glycol

In addition, respect for man and the environment are key philosophies that complete the standards of receiving the ECOCERT Ⓡ seal of approval.
Social and environmental consciousness are top of consumers’ minds these days and ECOCERT Ⓡ help drive activities and projects that address these issues.

Here at Four Truffles, three of the key ingredients found in our 4T PDN complex are ECOCERT Ⓡ Certified Organic ingredients.   These include our Argan Oil, Shea Butter, and Olive oils.  We’re currently working on publishing our ingredient listing which will include the source and benefits of each ingredient.  Our goal is to become your trusted natural skincare resource providing you with safe, best of natural & organic ingredients available and most importantly products that perform.

  2. I am aiming lately to get a good anti aging product but seems like there is actually little or nothing that can certainly fix my skin. In case somebody absolutely know some sort of treatment options that might help to make wonders simply let me know and I am going to be grateful for that.
