Body Butter Made Better with Liquid Crystal Technology

I am a sucker for an acronym.   So much so that I even abbreviate other words like OMG while speaking or make some up, like OOC – out of control!  So when we were ready to explain the ingredient and technical story behind the Four Truffles performance driven natural Argan Oil, Shea Butter, Olive Oil complex in a sophisticated liquid crystal delivery system for our Body Butter it was a no brainer that we needed an acronym.  We chose the ‘4T PDN Complex’ because it tied the function to the brand name – Four Truffles Performance Driven Natural Complex.  It seemed as natural a choice as our ingredients.

So now that you understand the name of the complex I thought you may want to know the science behind it.  We wanted all natural ingredients due to their inherent goodness, but we also wanted to find a way to make them work even better– more effectively and efficiently – than other body care moisturizers on the market.   We challenged our award-winning chemist and he found a way to utilize liquid crystal technology to best deliver the beneficial argan oil, shea butter and olive oil to the skin in a way that mimics the skins natural structure.  According to an article by Steve Herman in GCI Magazine, “Whatever high-tech actives or exotic botanicals a skin treatment product may contain, the delivery system is still an essential key to the product’s effectiveness.”

He continues to explain why liquid crystal are so effective by stating, “The skin cells are held together by the intercellular matrix, which helps prevent moisture loss and creates the smooth appearance on the surface. This region is structured by liquid crystal regions, and lipids prevent evaporation and provide lubrication to the surface of skin.”  In other words, the botanically beneficial 4T PDN Complex is delivered in a way that mimics the body’s most natural state to insure smooth, hydrated, non-greasy, sexy skin.
